KARACHI: Members of Hamdard Shura Council Karachi and youth speakers of Hamdard Naunhall Association paid tributes highly to Shaheed Hakeem Muhammad Saeed for his national achievements and services during a joint session organized by Hamdard Foundation Pakistan (HFP) yesterday at The Arena, Bahria Town Tower, in commemoration of “October 17” Martyrdom Day. Deputy Speaker Colonel (retd) Mukhtar Ahmad Butt described Shaheed Hakeem Saeed as an exceptional doctor, researcher, national intellectual and national savior, and his loss is deeply felt. Amer Tousin said that the younger generation must remember that the martyr Hakim Saeed taught the importance of loving books. He also said that those who study regularly tend to be smarter and wiser. To promote the habit of reading among the children of the country, Shaheed Hakim Saeed launched the monthly magazine Hamdard Nonhyal in 1953, which continues to enrich young minds even today.
