National Conference chief Omar Abdullah was sworn in as chief minister of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Wednesday, after guiding his party to a massive victory in the September-October elections.

The 54-year-old leader’s party won 42 seats in the 90-member assembly and enjoys the support of four independents and a lawmaker from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), according to NDTV.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Center in Srinagar in the presence of several Indian leaders and politicians, including Indian Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi of the Congress.
