Pakistan’s IT industry receives huge turnout at GITEX Global 2024, Dubai

Dubai (United Arab Emirates): Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tarmizi, Pakistan’s envoy to the UAE, chaired a meeting on Thursday at the Dubai World Trade Center to review the performance of Pakistani exhibitors participating in GITEX Global 2024. The IT sector has received significant attention for its innovative products and solutions.
The meeting was attended by Ali Zeb Khan, Dubai Trade and Investment Consultant, Mohammed Zohaib Khan, former Chairman of P@SHA, Umair Nizam, Senior Vice President of P@SHA, Zeeshan Khattak, CEO of PSEB, Shehbaz Hameed, Director of PSEB, Dean. Nader, SIFC, Ayub Ghauri, CEO NetSol Technologies, Raheel Iqbal, Vice Chairman P@SHA, Haris Naseer CEO Infotech, Amir Anzor, CMO PSEB and other senior officials. The meeting discussed reactions received from international delegations and potential partnerships with international companies.
The meeting was informed that Pakistani companies have received overwhelming feedback, with many organizations expressing keen interest in collaborating and exploring Pakistani IT products and services. Ambassador Tirmizi praised the positive reception and assured the Pakistani exhibitors of the embassy’s full support in developing commercial projects between Pakistani and Emirati companies.
“We are committed to ensuring that Pakistani IT companies registered in our homeland are supported in all possible ways, especially with regard to facilitating joint ventures so that capital is transferred to Pakistan to boost our national economy,” Ambassador Tirmizi said. He also stressed the importance of cooperation between advanced information technology companies to form unions capable of providing world-class services to the global market.
During the meeting, the Ambassador also highlighted the need to organize dedicated IT events for sectors such as digital transformation, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The ambassador said that such initiatives would showcase Pakistan’s strengths in these areas and help build stronger international partnerships.
GITEX Global 2024 marked a major milestone for Pakistan’s IT sector, cementing Pakistan’s growing reputation as a leading player in the global technology market.
