Another case of police abuse on rooftops trendy blogger

Haripur:

After Peshawar, a case of police excesses emerged in Haripur, where a senior police officer allegedly beat up a petrol station employee for refusing to serve his son.

A report submitted to the District Police Officer (DPO0 office) said that Additional SHO SI Muhammad Nawaz’s son went to a filling station in Patrasi area of Haripur to get fuel for his motorcycle. Because he was not wearing a face mask or helmet, the employee on duty refused to serve him, according to the campaign run by the district police.

Then, Shaw Nawaz and his driver arrived at the gas station where they beat up the workers. Nawaz’s driver also allegedly snatched money from the cashier’s pocket and then fled.

After that, the gas station owner and workers went to the Dubai Police Director and urged him to intervene. The DPD took notice of the incident, suspended Nawaz and launched an investigation.

The report also showed that the Additional SHO had previously been convicted of framing a man in a fake case and had allegedly been bribed to ignore the case.
