KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to launch a large-scale operation against drug traffickers across the province. The Anti-Tax and Narcotics Wing will officially start this operation against drug traffickers across Sindh starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13. In the first phase, the operation will target two major cities: Karachi and Hyderabad. Subsequent stages will expand the scope of the operation to include other areas in Sindh.
Sindh Chief Minister and Minister for Information, Transport, Mass Transport, Excise, Excise and Narcotics Control, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has ordered an intensified operation against drug traffickers, starting tomorrow. In connection with this operation, the Tax and Narcotics Control Wing was mobilized from all over Sindh.
An important meeting of the Excise and Narcotics Control Wing was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. The meeting was attended by Excise Secretary Muhammad Saleem Rajput, Narcotics Control Wing Director General Aurangzeb Akbar Panhwar, and other officials.
In the meeting, Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon issued orders to carry out an operation against drug dealers starting tomorrow. He directed the launch of a phased operation across Sindh, with the first phase focusing on eliminating drug traffickers in Karachi and Hyderabad.
He said that by expanding the scope of the anti-drug operation, it will soon be launched in other areas as well. Our targets are crystal meth, ice, heroin, cocaine, and hashish, which must be eliminated at all costs. The Police and Rangers are also ready to cooperate with the excise and drug control teams at all times.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that with the promulgation of the new anti-narcotics law, the responsibilities of excise and drug control have increased, and we all have a role to play in protecting our future generations from the scourge of drugs and in ensuring a drug-free society.
He said that efforts to stop drug abuse lead to a feeling of satisfaction and happiness, and it is now our responsibility to strengthen the anti-drug wing and make it exemplary.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that awards and honors will be given to those who perform well in the fight against drugs, and I personally follow the counter-drug operations and receive daily reports on the progress of these operations.
