Thatta Cement Limited has rejected the allegations of sudden closure of the plant, terming them baseless and inaccurate.
The company issued a clarification on Thursday in response to statements made during a competitor’s company briefing on November 20, 2024.
In a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Thatta Cement Company explained that it has successfully used local coal for the past three years without any adverse effects on its operations. The company assured stakeholders that its factory is operating at full capacity, and no closures have occurred.
The management stressed the need to ignore any reports related to the alleged closure unless they are officially confirmed by authorized company representatives. Thatta Cement reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency and urged stakeholders to rely on verified information.
