Gotham Awards 2024 Winners: Full List trendy blogger

A24’s “A Different Man” won Best Picture at the 2024 Gotham Awards on Monday night at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Meanwhile, “Sing Sing” swept the acting categories, with Colman Domingo winning best lead performance and Clarence MacLaine winning best supporting performance.

Each category of nominations is determined by a different jury made up of critics, journalists and other industry professionals, and screening links must be made available to all jury members. A completely different group determines the winners. This is in contrast to the Oscars or BAFTA Awards, which are decided by actors, filmmakers and other artists working in the entertainment industry.

In addition to the nominees, the Gothams team gave special tributes to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie (Performance Honor) for “Maria,” Emmy Award winner Zendaya (Spotlight Honor) for “Challengers,” and Timothée Chalamet and James Mangold (Visionary Tribute) to “Completely Anonymous” and the cast of “Sing Sing” (Social Justice Tribute).

This marks the second year that the annual gala, hosted by the Gotham Film and Media Institute, has removed the $35 million budget cap for eligible films. Previous Gotham winners include “Spotlight” (2015), “Moonlight” (2016) and “Everything Everywhere All at One” (2022), all of which won Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
