Chinese companies bring advanced solar technology and expertise to Pakistan: Report – Trendy Blogger

IslamabadAs 2024 draws to a close, China and Pakistan continue to strengthen the successful partnership aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s renewable energy capacity.

The two countries are cooperating on several solar projects, primarily under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Over the past year, China and Pakistan have strengthened public-private cooperation to finance and develop renewable energy projects.

China has actively invested in solar projects in Pakistan, contributing to the development of large-scale solar parks such as the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur, which now provides electricity to about 200,000 households.

Through this project, the Chinese company brought advanced solar technology and expertise to Pakistan, which helped the efficiency and capacity of solar installations.

Commenting on another successful year for the solar power plant in Pakistan, Xu Hongchang, Deputy Plant Manager, Zonergy Corporation Pakistan, highlighted that 2024 was a transformative year for the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Plant as they had the privilege of witnessing and contributing. To the significant progress in the renewable energy sector in Pakistan.

In an interview with Gwadar Pro, he said: “Throughout the year, we collaborated with a team of dedicated professionals to oversee plant operations, improve performance, and ensure smooth generation of solar energy.

Our 300 MW facility has been a model of efficiency, producing clean electricity to power thousands of homes and reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels.

Xu pointed out that one of this year’s most notable achievements was the successful implementation of advanced monitoring systems, which significantly enhanced the plant’s power production.

By incorporating cutting-edge predictive maintenance technologies, they have been able to reduce downtime and set new standards for operational excellence.

He said their team conducts annual tests of the solar power plant to ensure compliance with performance standards and identify areas that need improvement.

The debugging process was simplified by implementing a centralized bug reporting system, which facilitated faster resolution of issues by classifying bugs and assigning them to specialized teams.

By promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adopting best practices, they have ensured that the factory maintains its position as a benchmark for efficiency in the region.
