KARACHI: Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has officially launched its new Travel Store in Karachi, marking the first experiential retail concept to be introduced in West Asia.
Located in Karachi’s prestigious Sky Tower, on Abdul Sattar Edhi Street in Clifton, the 183 square meter store offers immersive, technology-driven experiences and best-in-class support from dedicated teams on the ground.
The store was officially opened by Issa Sulaiman Ahmed, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations for West Asia and Indian Ocean, in the presence of His Excellency Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan. The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Bakhit Atiq Al Rumaithi, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, which strengthened the strong relations between the UAE and Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by Emirates Vice President in Pakistan, Mohammed Al Nahari Al Hashemi, team members and media professionals.
Highlighting the importance of opening the first Emirates experiential store in Karachi, Issa Sulaiman Ahmed said: “The Emirates Travel Store is a place where travelers can discover all our amazing products and services, and we are proud to bring our immersive experiences to Karachi. This innovative retail concept reflects Emirates’ dedication to enhancing every aspect of the customer journey, offering them a unique glimpse into the Emirates experience and more, and all the exciting destinations on offer. This is coupled with personal service and exceptional support from our teams.
Ahmed continued: “Karachi was one of Emirates’ first destinations when we launched operations in 1985, and choosing this location for the first Emirates Travel Shop in West Asia is a testament to our commitment to Pakistan, which we serve through five gateways.”
The Emirates Travel Shop allows customers to learn more about the latest products available on board its aircraft as well as destinations within the airline’s network. Trained staff are readily available to provide personal assistance and help customers plan their trips, book tickets and manage travel preferences with ease.
In addition, the store features self-service kiosks and a selfie mirror that allows customers to take selfies against various backdrops featuring popular Emirates destinations and a selection of exclusive Emirates branded merchandise and travel accessories, making it a one-stop-shop for travelers looking for both inspiration and convenience.
Dedicated customer service desks and kiosks will assist customers in booking flights and issuing tickets for Emirates and Emirates Holidays flights, and with general inquiries about the Emirates loyalty program and Skywards. Experienced travel consultants will also be on hand to help provide personalized travel advice to clients.
