Thatta Cement Company Limited has successfully acquired 12,500,000 shares in Thatta Power (Pvt) Ltd, representing an ownership stake of 26.09% in the company, according to a filing made with the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
As a result, Thatta Cement’s total shareholding in Thatta Power increased to 88.52%.
This acquisition reflects Thatta Cement’s strategic move to consolidate its investment in its associated company, Thatta Power (Pvt) Limited, and strengthen its presence in the energy sector.
