The Holy Qur’an clearly commands believers to show affection towards the relatives of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace); Several speakers address the fourth annual conference of the “Masuma Sindh International Conference for Interfaith Dialogue”

KARACHI: God Almighty commanded: “Whoever obeys God and His Messenger is among those upon whom God has bestowed favours.” He (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) said: Whoever is good to my family (peace be upon them), I will intercede on their behalf. Based on these two clear directives, Islam and faith are of no benefit to those who love the Prophet (PBUH) and do not love his family (PBUH). And remember that the Qur’an requires affection for Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him).
These ideas were expressed by Dr. Saeed Talebi Nia, Munawar Ali Mahesar, Mubasher Mir, Syed Manzoor Naqvi, Zawar Abdul Sattar Dars, Syed Amar Ali Shah Naqvi, Allama Ayaz Qomi, Syed Shabir Raza Rizvi, Reverend Atiq Qaiser, Sardar Amar Singh, Mukesh Kumar Gidea, Zawar Niaz Hussain . Laghari, Brigadier General Syed Karrar Hussein; and others during the “Fourth Annual Masooma Sindh International Interfaith Conference” held at Ibrahim Goyo Hall, Liaquat National Library, Karachi. The event was organized by Zairien Khidmat Committee in collaboration with Karachi Editors Club and Sindh Ministry of Culture on Sunday evening. This event was hosted by Agha Shirazi in a very beautiful and smooth manner, which was greatly appreciated by the conference participants.
The speakers pointed out that following the tragedy of Karbala, many Sadats (descendants of the Prophet’s family) were forced due to circumstances to emigrate from the Arabian Peninsula to various parts of the world. The majority chose the land of Sindh, where its inhabitants – regardless of their religion – had a deep love and reverence for the Prophet (may God bless him and his family). Sindh is honored to host Sadat, such as Mrs. Ruqayyah bint Ali (peace be upon him), known as Bibi Pakdman, daughter of Imam Ali (peace be upon him); Sayyid Abdullah Al-Ashtar (peace be upon him), known as Abdullah Shah Ghazi, the grandson of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him); Mrs. Khadija Maham, daughter of Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him). The shrine of Sayyida Ruqayyah is located in Lahore, while the shrine of Sayyida Khadija Mahm is located in Agam Kot in Sindh.
It is a matter of great joy that the construction of the magnificent shrine of Bibi Pakdaman has been completed, and the Sindh Endowment Department has recently approved the project to build the shrine of Masooma Sindh Bibi Khadija Maham bint Imam Musa Kazim (AS). The foundation stone was also laid. However, for the last 6-7 years, a group of 4-5 known miscreants have been actively conspiring to create religious tension in the area and have also interfered in the construction work, bringing it to a halt.
The speakers strongly urged the Sindh government and all relevant security agencies to take immediate action against the persistent rioters, who are creating problems for visitors, inciting religious tension, and obstructing the official construction project. They demanded that the difficulties faced by pilgrims from all over the country be addressed and the stalled shrine construction project be immediately resumed through necessary legal procedures.
During the conference, presentations of naat and veils were given by Professor Mazhar Amrao Bandu Khan, Kishwar Adeel Jafri, Kamal Amrohi, Nasir Agha, Dr. Javed Manzar, Dua Zahra Dars, Shahbaz Ali Langwani, and others.
