Wamiqa Gabbi has joined the cast of upcoming Hindi spy thriller ‘G2’, directed by debutant Vinay Kumar Sirijende.
‘G2’ is the sequel to the spy thriller ‘Goodachari’ (2018), written by and starring Sesh. Gabbi stars opposite Adivi Sesh in this next installment of the franchise, continuing the story of Sesh’s character from the film ‘Goodachari’.
Gabby has received acclaim for her roles in the Prime Video series “Jubilee,” the Netflix film “Khufiya,” and the SonyLIV series “Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley,” all of which bow in 2023. “I’m so excited to be a part of the incredible journey,” she said. For “G2” the first film set a great standard, and stepping into this world is exciting and challenging. Working with such a talented cast and crew inspires me To push the boundaries and bring a new energy to my character I can’t wait for the audience to experience what we are crafting, it will be extraordinary.
Gabbi recently completed the shooting schedule of ‘G2’ in Europe with Sesh. Emraan Hashmi, another important addition to the cast, is expected to play a key role in the film. The band also includes Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda and Madhu Shalini.
Sesh, known for films like “Evaru” and “Major,” co-wrote “G2,” ensuring continuity in the style and story of the series.

Separately, action drama ‘Dacoit’ is also in production, in which Sesh plays the lead role alongside Mrunal Thakur.
