KARACHI: Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway (SZAB) is not just a modern road but a roadmap for development. This expressway serves as a vital link between the urban center of Karachi and the M-9 Expressway, a press release said.
In a statement, Chief Minister and Regional Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway will ensure smooth and uninterrupted access to the expressway. The advanced expressway constructed by the Sindh government will benefit businesses, commuters and industries alike.
He said that the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway will relieve pressure on the road network in Karachi, reduce fuel consumption, and shorten travel time by up to fifty percent. In addition, it will enhance connectivity within Karachi and to major industrial and commercial centers such as Dhabiji Special Economic Zone and Pakistan Steel Mills.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that improved access to industrial zones, including Dhabiji Special Economic Zone and Pakistan Steel Mills, will boost investment opportunities.
He said that the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway, designed according to global standards as a high-speed corridor, represents a major advancement in travel innovations. Under the leadership of President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government remains committed to promoting economic growth and urban development.
