Special thanks to Dubai and the UAE – CSL supports the UAE’s carbon-neutral mission
As the CSL’s influence as an organization grows, last year the association launched a climate change awareness campaign. The association planted 21 trees and collaborated with COP28 to educate people about the effects of climate change.
This year, CSL continues its environmental efforts by collaborating with government institutions in the UAE to raise awareness and take action to address climate change.
These efforts include planting trees, reducing the use of plastic bags, and other initiatives to combat environmental challenges.
“We are proud to support the UAE’s mission to reach zero carbon,” said Raja Asad Khaled. “To promote this cause, we are organizing a special beach cricket tournament. This tournament will not only include matches but will also include activities to clean the beach, raise awareness about the dangers of plastic bags, and promote ocean conservation.”
Environmental Awareness and Tree Planting Initiatives: A key feature of CSL’s plans this season is a special beach cricket tournament that will be organized to clean up the oceans and raise awareness about the dangers of environmental pollution. This tournament is part of CSL’s broader environmental campaign, which also includes ongoing tree planting efforts. Last year, CSL planted 21 trees, and this year, the association is expanding its efforts, with plans to plant 32 trees in different areas of Kashmir. The aim is to emphasize environmental sustainability, especially by promoting responsible actions such as reducing the use of plastic and reforestation.
Sardar Sajid Iqbal Abbasi (Title Sponsor): “I am extremely proud to support the Chinar Premier League, which has become an important platform. When we started this journey, we never imagined it would have such a great vision. Today, this league has become a symbol of Kashmiri unity and also draws attention to environmental change. We are committed to planting 1,000 trees around rivers in Kashmir to help mitigate floods and support environmental protection.
Sardar Ayaz (Silver City Owner): The mission that Raja Al-Assad started with the Chinar Premier League deserves praise. When I visited the country last year, I saw the positive impact of his efforts. We are fully aligned with the environmental change and conservation mission of CSL and Raja Asad. We have also started a tree planting campaign in our neighborhood, Silver City.
Osama Aftab Jabbar (CEO, Alpha Investment): “We are grateful to be part of the Chinar Premier League and support Raja Asad’s mission. His vision aligns with our goals, and we look forward to formalizing our partnership to turn this vision into reality.”
Asad Hashmi (CEO, Smart Innovation Business Centre): “We are inspired by Raja Asad’s vision, especially since I am from Kashmir. We are determined to support his campaign to plant trees, which is essential for the benefit of the local community and a greener future. We are also committed to reducing the impact of climate change in United Arab Emirates.
Beach Cricket Campaign: Among this year’s CSL initiatives is a special ‘Chinar Beach Cricket’ event, which will be held on a beautiful beach where the league intends to raise awareness about environmental pollution and its long-term effects on the area. Raja Asad Khalid stressed that these symbolic events not only promote healthy competition but also increase public engagement in sustainability efforts.
As part of the ongoing Chinese League Cup journey, officials have adjusted travel plans. Will the cup now travel from Dubai? Delhi? Srinagar? Delhi? Dubai and then continue to Dubai? Islamabad? Muzaffarabad? Islamabad? Dubai.
In addition, Raja Asad Khaled revealed that the official song for Season 7 of the Chinese Super League will be released during the upcoming launch event, adding excitement to the event and highlighting the league’s growing attendance.

Without your support, the mission of unity, sustainability and development of sport would not have been possible to turn into reality. Together, we are building a legacy that will serve as an inspiration for generations to come, organizers said.
