Sharjah (United Arab Emirates): The Pakistan Social Center in Sharjah successfully hosted the Women’s Badminton Championship, marking a milestone in the promotion of women’s sports. The event, organized by Zubaida Khanum and coordinated by the head of the organizing committee, Reda Obaidi, included competitive matches and entrepreneurship opportunities for participating women.
The tournament, which was held in cooperation with the Global Chen5 Group, showcased the athletic skills of 16 competitors. In addition to sporting events, the center provided free spaces to seventeen businesswomen, creating a unique platform for business networking and community engagement.
In the competitive matches, Fadeelat emerged as the champion, Safiya Butt took second place and Haya Ali took third place. Sajjad A. He served as a referee who ensured professional standards throughout the competition.
During the awards ceremony, Chairman of the Pakistan Social Center in Sharjah, Chaudhry Khalid Hussain, the chief guest, distributed financial prizes and cups to the winners. Co-sponsor Yasmina and Shanna provided additional cash prizes, which contributed greatly to the success of the event.
“This tournament represents a positive step towards the advancement of women’s sports in our society,” said Zubaida Khanum, chief organizer. “The tremendous response and enthusiasm from participants shows the need for such initiatives.”
