Cameron Diaz says she’ll do a ‘Mask’ sequel if Jim Carrey is ‘on board’ trendy blogger

Cameron Diaz is ready to go green (again).

Diaz, who just came out of retirement from a 10-year stint starring in Netflix’s “Back in Action,” recently revealed to Access Hollywood that she would be open to returning in a sequel to the 1994 comedy “The Mask” as long as Jim Carrey was involved.

“If Jim was on board, I mean I was riding those coattails from day one,” she said of the possibility of reprising her role as nightclub singer Tina Carlisle. “The Mask” stars Carrey as Stanley Ipkiss, a kindly bank teller whose life is turned upside down when he discovers a mask possessed by the spirit of a magic trickster.

Carrey previously expressed to Comicbook.com that he would also be willing to return for a sequel to The Mask, provided the project has a strong enough script.

“Oh my gosh, you know, that had to be the right idea,” said Carrey, who recently reprized his role as Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

“If someone has the right idea, I think it’s not really about the money,” Carey said. “I joke about money…but I never know. You can’t be specific about these things. I said I wanted to retire, but I think I was talking more about a power break. Because once a good idea comes your way, or a group of people Who I really enjoyed working with and things like that, things tend to change.

In the same Access Hollywood interview, Diaz also expressed interest in returning for another “Charlie’s Angels” sequel alongside Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, joking that his “Back in Action” co-star Jamie Foxx could play Bosley.

“I’m going to text Leo now and offer her the role of Jamie as Bosley.” Diaz joked.
