
Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates): Tariq Ahmed, the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Faisal Niaz Tarmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates, at the Pakistan House in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest were discussed, including cooperation in trade and investment, efforts to increase people-to-people contacts and the resumption of direct flights from Islamabad and Karachi to Dhaka. The two sides stressed the importance of supporting the well-being of the large Pakistani and Bangladeshi community in the UAE.
Ambassador Tarmzi highlighted the deep historical and cultural ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He stressed that the huge untapped trade potential between Pakistan and Bangladesh could contribute to the economic growth of both countries.
Ambassador Tariq reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment to strengthening relations with Pakistan. He stressed the need to continue dialogue and cooperation to confront common challenges and achieve common goals in the region.
The meeting concluded positively, with the two ambassadors affirming their shared vision for regional peace and prosperity and enhancing bilateral engagement.
