Federal Interior Minister Mohsen Naqafi pledged to address the concerns of American companies operating in Pakistan on a priority basis, especially in mining and information technology sectors. The confirmation was presented during a meeting with a delegation from the US Business Council in Pakistan in Washington.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Saturday, discussions focused on promoting investment and promoting bilateral cooperation in the main economic sectors. Neglary called on American investors to take advantage of the profitable opportunities available in mining industries in Pakistan and IT industries, with a focus on improving economic stability in the country and upward path.
“The US Business Council can take advantage of the extensive investment capabilities in Pakistan, as all major economic indicators have shown an improvement,” Naqfi stated. He also highlighted the reforms in the process of issuing the certificates of any objection (NOCS) and confirmed the priority facilitation authorization to alleviate the commercial operations of American investors.
Among the delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce Charles Freeman, First Vice President; Esperanza Gilalian, CEO and President of the US Business Council Pakistan; Abel Touvar, Executive Director of the World Organizational Cooperation Center; And Manisha Fiba, Director of the US Business Council. The Ambassador of Pakistan in the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and other officials at the meeting also attended.
The United States is still the largest export market in Pakistan and an important source of foreign investment. NAQVI expressed his optimism about strengthening trade relations and expanding US investments in Pakistan, especially in sectors with high growth capabilities.
