The Memorandum of Understanding aims to create an effective and cooperative mechanism that allows NAB and OPF to process complaints from expatriates and solve them jointly. These grievances may include fraudulent practices in housing plans, possession of property and allocation, and financial violations that include housing developers or individuals.
Under the agreement, NAB will establish dedicated facilitation offices in all its offices, including the main office, to address the complaints that OPF referred to or submitted directly by Pakistanis abroad. In addition, the auxiliary line will be created for the continuous communication between NAB and OPF to simplify the process of solving the complaint.
Earlier, the OPF delegation briefed NAB officials of the challenges facing the Pakistanis abroad. NAB Chairman confirmed that the office will work with OPF to solve these issues and ensure that individuals who exploit expatriates are accountants and face the appropriate legal consequences.
