Jonathan Majores’s violent drama in “Magazine Dreams” is heading to the market for international sales for the first time before its American release on March 21 through Briarclif Entertainment.
Celsius Entertainment acquired international sales rights, written and directed by Elia Pinum and starring Majors, along with Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, Harriet Sansom Harris and Mike O’Hearn.
“Magazine Dreams” focuses on Killian Maddox (Majors), a man consumes his dream to become a world -famous bodybuilder and one day extends to the cover of fitness magazines. He lives a single fox life and his uncompromising leadership for perfection, which pushes him deeper towards self -destruction. But under his stubbornness to the stars, there is an urgent need for the human relationship. While fighting both the boundaries of his physical body and its inner demons, the film explores the lengths that a man will go in his painful endeavor to recognize a world often ignores.
The film was met with a sensation after its first appearance at the 2023 Condens Film Festival, which caused a bidding war that led to it by Searchlight Pictures for the mid -seven characters. However, the distributor dropped the film in January 2024 after Majors accused domestic violence against his ex -girlfriend Grace Jabbari. After going to trial in New York, he was convicted of two misdemeanors of harassment and assault. Gabari also filed a lawsuit against specializations on charges of assault and defamation, but the lawsuit was settled in November 2024. Briarclif acquired the title in October 2024.
