The French prosecutors said on Friday that they had opened an investigation into the social media platform, due to allegations of al -Khawarizmi’s bias.
The investigation was launched after one of the legislators claimed that the biased algorithms on X may have distorted the processing of automatic data.
This investigation comes a few days before the main Amnesty International Summit in Paris, where US Vice President JD Vance and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attend, along with Alphabet and Microsoft executives. The Paris Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that its electronic crime unit is conducting initial technical checks.
French legislator Eric Putoril, citing anxiety from biased algorithms, said he wrote to the unit of electronic crime J3 on January 12. The unit was active in high -level cases, including the investigation last year in the founder of Telegram Pavel Dorov.
X faced scrutiny around her role in political discourse, as Musk personally supports right -wing parties in Europe. The J3 unit had previously taken action against the main platforms, and last year, X was temporarily banned in Brazil for failing to reduce wrong information before compliance with the Supreme Court order.
