The Council of Ministers Committee agrees to the main dates and performance reviews

IslamabadThe Cabinet Committee for State -owned institutions (CCOSOS) was held on Tuesday, led by the Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, Senator Mohamed Uranquit in the Finance Department.

The committee focused on appointments in various state -owned institutions (SOES) and the main approved nominations. It is worth noting that three independent members were appointed to the National Council of the High Board (NHC), following the guidelines of Soes (Employment and Management) policy, 2023.

For the POSTAL LIFE Insurance Limited (Plicl) Board of Directors, a subsidiary of Pakistan Post, the committee directed the agenda, including the recommendations of independent managers, for review. In the case of the Pakistan Re -Security Company (PRCL), which works within the framework of the Ministry of Commerce, two major candidates for the roles of the independent manager were approved. Moreover, the committee granted approval of the appointments of the Board of Directors at the JMC & RC Center, which is run by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.

In all these appointments, the committee emphasized that the commitment must be adhered to the law of the state -owned companies, and the relevant bodies must give the priority of the recruitment of independent managers from the private sector.

The committee also reviewed the annual uniform performance of SOES commercial and non-commercial for the fiscal year 2023-24. The most prominent detailed offer for each of the financial successes and challenges for this year, while paying attention to the performance of the state -owned companies. Minister Uranzib urged the acceleration of privatization efforts for these entities to lose their financial capabilities in the long run.

In addition, the committee dealt with the implementation of the Council of Ministers regarding the classification of four railways: Pakistan Railways for Transport (PRFTC), consulting services for railways and railways in Paks, Railway Constructions Bakistan Limited (Railcop), and Railway Estate Development and Marketing (Redamco). The committee reviewed its commercial and transitional plans for each of them.

The meeting witnessed the participation of the Minister of Federal Housing and the Business of Mr. Rez Hussein Birza, the Prosecutor of Pakistan, the CEO of the Securities and Stock Exchange Committee in Pakistan, and senior officials of the relevant ministries and departments.
