The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the prices of the imported liquefied naturally imported LNG (RLNG), which attributes the rise to the high costs of supply and delivery.
The revised prices, immediately, will affect consumers for both Northern North Nortern Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas (SSGC).
For consumers SNGPL, transportation rates increased by 1.96 %, while distribution rates increased by 1.86 %. The transmission price has now increased to $ 11,9588 per million British thermal units (MMBTU), an increase of $ 11.7288 in January, while the distribution rate increased to $ 12.9025 per mmbtu from 12.6667 dollars.
Likewise, SSGC customers will witness a 0.55 % increase in transmission costs and an increase of 0.57 % in distribution rates. SSGC’s transmission price increased to $ 10.6466 per mmbtu from $ 10.5883, while the distribution price rose to $ 12.6729 per MMBTU from $ 12.6014.
In terms of increases in a month, SNGPL customers will see an additional $ 0.2300 per mmbtu in the transmission stage and $ 0.2358 per mmbtu when distribution. Meanwhile, SSGC consumers will face $ 0.0583 per MMBTU in transmission fees and $ 0.0715 per MMBTU at distribution costs.
The amendment comes as part of the regular tariff reviews of OGRA, which reflects the fluctuations in the global RLNG prices and supply dynamics.
