The legend of the Indian screen, Kamal Hassan, was exploited to head the Federation of Indian Chambers for Trade and Industry (FICCI) The Media and Entertainment Committee in the South, and it was announced at the Org’s Media Business Conclave South Connect 2025 in Chenyy.
The two -day conference was opened by Hassan alongside the actor and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is now vice prime minister of Tamil Nadu, where the Southern Indian entertainment continues to bend its muscles in the global market.
Stalin used the platform to unveil ambitious plans for a 152 -acre films in Chennai, and they are promising facilities on the latest model including virtual production technologies, VFX studios, LED walls and a five -star hotel. He also announced the revival of the 2010 Land Renting Initiative by former Prime Minister Karunaneidhi, the green construction of the professional residential complexes in the film industry in a 90 -acre conspiracy near Killambacam.
Hasan called for the organizational frameworks that adopt emerging technologies instead of restricting them, with the direct stadium to CM deputy to repair government entertainment tax on cinema.
The CEO of Jiostar Entertainment Kevin Vaz, who heads the Ficci Media and Entertainment Committee, has evolved southern India from the regional player to the global power, citing “RRR” and “KGF: Chapter 2” as evidence of the growing influence of the industry.
Conclave’s agenda extends on TV, broadcast, games, animation, VFX sectors, with a dedicated “Playnext” sector that focuses on games and electronic sports. The heavy weights in the present industry included the President of Sandhya Devanathan and Warner Bros.
The event will be held February 21-22.
