The government of Khayber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced the current NFC Award for the current NFC (NFC) and set a final date in April 2025 to review it, excluding the approach of the Supreme Court if the federal government fails to establish the committee.

In his speech to a high -level political dialogue on the NFC Prize, Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandabur confirmed that the formula for distributing the current revenue fails to calculate the residents of the expanded province and the land area after the merging of the previous Fata. He stated that the KP legal share of KP should increase from 14 % to 19.6 %, however the province did not receive its due allocations.

Gandabur criticized the federal government for its decline in its promise of 100 billion rupees annually to develop the integrated areas, which were spent only 132 billion rupees in six years. In addition, KP gets only 66 billion rupees instead of 88 billion rupees committed to operating expenses in these areas.

The Prime Minister has warned that continuous neglect would deepen the lack of general confidence and indicate that the KP will take a “sudden action” in May 2025 if the issue remains without a solution. He also emphasized KP contributions to combating terrorism and preserving the environment, and urged us to include climate -related allocations within the NFC framework, as shown in India.
