The attackers use SMS, messaging applications, and fake web pages to deceive the victims to download harmful programs, and they often take advantage of topics to create a false sense of urgency. In some cases, infiltrators send messages from risk contacts, making frauds appear more legitimate.

Cyber ​​security expert Arsalan Bukhari warned that Pakistani banking users are also at risk of the global rise in banking Trojan attacks, where financial fraud operations are reported daily. He called for obtaining stronger laws for cybersecurity and strict regulations on digital banking services, while emphasizing that public awareness is crucial in addressing the threat.

He urged banks, communications operators and government authorities to cooperate in awareness campaigns at the country using social media, television, SMS alerts to educate users about fraud, safe banking practices and cybersecurity risks.

Instead of developing new malware, Internet criminals have increasingly focused on distributing large -scale attacks using the existing files. Bukhari emphasized that awareness of cybersecurity is necessary for all age groups, as fraudsters use advanced psychological tricks to steal bank data.

Despite the rapid rise in Trojan Banker Malware, it remains the fourth largest category of mobile threats, representing 6 percent of users who were attacked. The most prevalent category is advertising programs, which affect 57 percent of the victims, followed by Trojan General (25 percent) and risk means (12 percent).

Kaspersky products prevented a total of 33.3 million attacks throughout the year. These informal amendments are classified on WhatsApp as the third most active after the general threats based on the group’s group.
