Apple announced on Friday that some of the artificial smart improvements for its audio assistant will be delayed until 2026.
The company revealed that it is working on a more customized version of Siri, with features aimed at increasing its awareness of personal context and enabling it to take action through the applications, but the offer will take longer than it was expected at first.
Apple had previously planned to provide these features by 2025, but it did not specify the reasons for the delay. Last year, the company Apple Intelligence, a set of features that AI drive, which includes capabilities such as rewriting emails and reorganizing the inserted boxes.
These improvements are particularly focused on enhancing Siri’s ability to interact with applications and complete tasks using data stored on Apple devices. For example, users can ask Siri access to a recommended podcast by a friend or pull trip information from a relative data.
In response to the increasing competition, Apple builds a cloud -backed basic structure from its special chips to maintain privacy while providing artificial intelligence progress. Siri currently treats 1.5 billion user requests per day.
Competitors such as Alphabet’s Google and Amazon have also strengthened their vocal assistants through artificial intelligence, including the Google GEMINI and Amazon updates by AI-I-Ent to Alexa.
