Pak Suzuki Motor Company has announced the constant suspension of reservations for all variables in Wagon R hatchback, as of March 11, 2025.

The company has already stopped reserving the highest alternative in recent months, and speculation has grown about a complete stoppage of reservations for the model.

In an official call to merchants, the company stated that the decision applies to all variables. The sales teams advised to inform potential customers accordingly.

Wagon R was introduced in Pakistan in 2014 with three variables. The VX alternative was initially priced at 899,000 rupees, VXR at 1049,000 rupees, and VXL at 1089,000 rupees.

The basic variable was later stopped, and in 2020, the AGS variable was presented with an automatic airbag transmission at a price of 1890,000 rupees. Over the years, the prices have increased significantly, as the last prices were set at 3,214,000 rupees for the VXR variable, 3,412,000 rupees for VXL, and 3,741,000 rupees for the AGS model.

The vehicle sales have decreased in recent years. Between July 2024 and February 2025, the company sold 1608 units, compared to 2,285 units during the same period last year.

On the other hand, Suzuki Swift recorded 5,295 units, Suzuki Cultus 1,887 units, and Suzuki Alto 28,194 units during the same period.

Pak Suzuki has not provided an official reason for comment, but industry monitors point out that sales of decline in recent years may have affected the decision. The company did not confirm whether or when a new model will be presented in Pakistan.
