Barcelona-based Micai Films has separated a series of land deals in favor of David Matamoros Queer Rom-Com (“Who wants to marry an astronaut?”).
TLA has obtained rights for North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland, while Optimale chose a distribution of France. Additional agreements include Tongariro in Poland and Outtv Media for the Netherlands, where Profun deals with Germany, Italy, Portugal, Israel and Scandinavian countries via Outtv Media.
Adam Silver praised TLA in the movie as “highlighting the TLA 2025 menu”, adding: “We are very happy that his hand is guaranteeing the masses throughout North America and the United Kingdom an opportunity to experience life activation, the joy of David Matamorus.”
The first individual of Matamoros from Sally as a director and produced alongside Anilis Hernandez under their slogan in Barcelona, Mr. Miaji Films (“Platform”, “Isaac”).

This scuppors road 66 planned journey reached its climax at a wedding in Las Vegas. The film deliberately transmits from the typical novels that depend on the identity of LGBTQ+ Cinema: “I wanted my characters to be the hero of the story, without thinking about his sexual tendency. Just like a person who deserves a happy ending,” diverse.
Who wants to marry an astronaut?
Mr. MIYAGI Films, who is famous for his ability on Corral International Film Finance, has previously made great success with Netflix at all “The Platform”. But it does not become easier. “With a decrease in general financing, we must find ways to tell our stories and enrich them with different sets that can add a lot to the novel novel,” explained by Angeles Hernandez, co -founder of the MR. MIYAGI Films. “But the rules and agreements can make it very difficult most of the time. We must consider redefining cooperation strategies beyond management needs.”
The project is an example of the inherent appeal of adopting international cooperation to bring new types of stories with less vision personalities in attractive types.
diverse I caught with David Matamorus:
The story is inspired by the elements of your life. How did you move to making her a personality while ensuring her global resonance?
I grew up with romantic comedy in the 1980s and 1990s. There is something about them that attracts the broader masses. Most of us watch these films belonging to an inspiring slice, hungry of vital reseen stories that can make you fall, but always emotional. So I changed the perspective on my personal drama and focus on trying to be inspiring, reaffirming, funny and emotional at the same time. I have hunger for the broader masses, but I always speak of my optimistic way to look at life.
Unlike many LGBTQ+ films that focus on exit or identity struggles, this story puts the strange novel in ROMCOM. What is the importance of this choice for you?
The key was the happy end. I wanted a very bad end. I wanted to believe that I could have had a happy ending. My astronaut offers strange ideas and pictures in the traditionally formed spaces according to the taste of the masses of two different sexes. It washed an area that was not our legacy. I wanted to be my character, the hero of the story, without thinking about his sexual inclinations. Just like a person who deserves a happy ending.
I previously mentioned that your movie criticizes the traditional romantic comedy novel that many of us grew up. How do you feel your challenges in photographing traditional concepts about romance, and why is it important for you to convert the focus towards daily facts and weaknesses in love?
Romantic love is very toxic if you look at it from the perspective of these days. We constantly led us to believe in literature, art, music, and films that if you were not trapped in a certain way, you are not really loved. But I wanted to focus on embracing daily struggles and our success of what love and love means. And look at them in a positive way, and realize that there is only one way for “ideal love”, but many of the ways you love by many people with all its faults. This is beautiful.
Do you think that the experience of directing a solo feature will change your approach with the directors as a film producer?
I know exactly the process that a film director faces when/she is photographing. I am more sensitive to the smell of the ego. When someone needs to tell a story, he finds a way regardless of how, and the more personal, gentle, and more adaptable, and kindness should be with the crew. We are used to misuse of art. I completely reject it now. I know that you can direct love and inspire the crew, rather than misuse.
The film sells well in multiple regions, what are your general views in the market in general, and for the romantic flash at the present time?
The great area of overcoming is festivals. Many programmers approached me after the film was shown that they had irrational problems with a romantic comedy or comedy, and that they enjoyed the movie a lot, and still see the classes and discussions. On the contrary, the audience, on the contrary, is more open to surprise, a feeling of identifying it and may issue a judgment on a specific issue regardless of age, gender, race or sexual orientation. There is no one audience, but a lot. The market is very fragmented. Perhaps this is the reason why the “astronaut” is widely sold.
