Lei Jun founder at A Weibo Post announced on Tuesday that the Chinese Xiaomi increased the goal of connecting electric cars throughout the year to 350,000 units.
The company had previously set a target of 300,000 volts for 2025 earlier this year.
The goal that was raised on Xiaomi confidence in its growing business EV, which achieved 32.1 billion yuan ($ 4.4 billion) of revenues last year with more than 135,000 SU7 sedans. Despite the 6.2 billion Yuan Yuan’s net loss and new initiatives, Xiaomi is still committed to expansion and plans to start car shipments abroad by 2027.
After EVS, Xiaomi told a 48.8 % jump in the revenue of the fourth quarter to 109 billion yuan, exceeding analysts’ expectations. The company’s smartphone shipments increased by 5 % to 42.7 million units in the quarter, ranked third in the world.
The shares of Xiaomi in Hong Kong gained 3.3 % before issuing profits and increased by 284 % during the past year, and fueled by the strong investor interest in EV’s aspirations.
