PPL, Pogc Discover Gas in Sindh’s Kirthar Block – Trendy Blogger

Pakistan discovered PPL and its joint partner, Polish Oil and Gas Company (POGC), natural gas in the RAFAT-1 well in the Kirthar block, located in the Dadu area, Sindh.

According to the disclosure sent to the Pakistani Stock Exchange (PSX), POGC has a 70 % work interest as an operator, while PPL has a 30 % stake in the joint project.

The RAFat-1 well was dismantled on September 20, 2024, targeting Pab composition of hydrocarbon capabilities. The drilling reached a total depth of 2514 meters on December 18, 2024. The results of the registry and drilling registry were encouraged, the dug test (DST) was performed, and the gas detection was detected on the roof. However, due to the very narrow nature of the tank, hydraulic cracking was made to enhance productivity.

After cracking and additional holes, the well was successfully completed and exposed to the completion of the completion of the completion (CIT). The strict test later confirmed that RAFAT-1 produces gas at a rate of 1.10 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) on the stifling of 48/64 ″, with a well flowing well (FWHP) pressure.

While the discovery of Rafat-1 is a relatively small discovery, PPL stated that it emphasizes the commitment of the joint project to continuous exploration and energy security in Pakistan.

This disclosure was conducted according to Article 96 of the Securities Law, 2015, and paragraph 5.6.1 of the PSX regulations for awareness of the investor.
