Beijing: The flag raising ceremony was held today at the Pakistani embassy, Beijing to celebrate Pakistan Day. The ceremony was attended by embassy officials and their families, and members of Pakistani society. A press release says that Ambassador Khalil Hashemi raised the national flag to the tone of the national anthem that he played on this occasion.
Embassy officials have read messages from the President, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan, which confirms the importance and basic spirit of Lahore’s decision on March 23, 1940 in Lahore.
