Islamabad: The Ministry of Industries and Production (MOP) has successfully implemented the main reforms to advance sustainable growth and export leadership under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shaybaz Sharif during the past year.
Over the past year, a series of leading reforms aimed at achieving growth in small and medium sectors (SME) and engineering sectors, expanding industrial infrastructure and ensuring goods are available at reasonable prices for low -income groups, according to an official report available with App.
The Ministry has made great progress in enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMES), while increasing access to support and financing services and market links, and contributing to sustainable growth within the national economy.
The Engineering Development Board (EDB) has successfully implemented policy reforms to enhance the engineering sector, which enhances both localization of the local market and export capabilities. EDB also facilitated the greater integration of the sector in the global markets, strengthening its role as a major economic engine.
The Pakistani Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) played a pivotal role in advancing the development of industrial infrastructure, including the creation and operation of many new special economic areas (SEZS), attracting investments and enhancing industrial growth.
The efforts of the Ministry focused by an increase in industrial activities directed towards export, which are compatible with the government’s mandate to enhance export -led growth, especially in the effective industries of the environment.
The Ministry has implemented policies that ensure that basic elements are still available at reasonable prices, and benefit directly from low -income groups and contribute to protecting real income in the country.
By exchanging the future strategic vision, the official report said that the ministry aims to strengthen the sector of small and medium -sized companies globally, which leads to sustainable national economic growth through a supportive environment and targeted services.
She said that the main agencies such as EDB and PIDC have played vital roles in this vision while EDB facilitates the growth of the engineering sector by providing economic technical support and enhancing Emiratization and competitiveness.
The report said that PIDC focuses on creating industrial infrastructure, especially through the development of special economic areas (SEZS), to support industrial growth and create a favorable environment for various industries.
These efforts are aimed at pushing export -led growth, ensuring affordable access to basic commodities, and strengthening the industrial base of Pakistan for long -term economic development.
