Imax and Kinpolis expands a partnership with Nine-Pact Pact

While Hollywood is preparing for its summer release from potential films, the Kinepolis and Imax collection is betting on distinguished theatrical experiences with a multi -layer expansion announced on Monday in Cinemacon.

The deal calls to install IMAX from the latest films with laser systems via the international imprint of models in Belgium, almost doubles the presence of IMAX from Kenpolis in Europe and expanded its partnerships to new regions.

The agreement arrives when IMAX wraps the first strong quarter and places itself in a summer list that includes more titles “Filled for Imax” more than ever, including “expected sinners”, “Thunderbolts” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, “The Fantastic Four”, “How To to to thor you dragon “and” Superman “.

European expansion includes seven new sites throughout France (1), Belgium (1), Spain (2), and the Netherlands (3) – occupies the first invasion of IMAX in the Dutch market with Kenopolis. Additional sites will be opened in the United States and Canada through Kinepolis MJR courses and historical cinemas.

IMAX Rich Gelfond President described the expansion as an additional evidence of the increasing confidence of the exhibitors in the distinct formats. “Since we are closing a strong quarter of system sales and entering a wonderful season full of films that were shown in IMAX, it is clear that the demand for our platform is growing,” Gilvond said.

The commitment to nine depends on a theater on the previous 2023 agreement that called for eight IMAX systems, which actually proves the imprint of the partners since early last year. Under the new agreement, eight sites will start working before the end of the year.

All new IMAX installations will display with laser technology, the 4K projection system for the company with an improved color spectrum and the variance capabilities specifically designed for large IMAX screens.
