IslamabadPakistan’s trade deficit by 7.5 % on an annual basis (YOY) in March 2025, to $ 2.119 billion, a decrease of $ 2.288 billion in the same month last year, as in the data issued by the Pakistani Statistics Office (PBS) on Thursday.
In March 2025, the total exports amounted to $ 2.6 billion, which represents an increase of 1.9 % on an annual basis and an increase of 5.1 % over a month (illiterate).
On the other hand, imports decreased to $ 4.7 billion, which reflects a 2.5 % decrease on an annual basis, with a decrease of 1.1 % on a illiterate basis.
During the first nine months of the fiscal year 25 (July to March), the trade deficit expanded by 4.5 % year on year, to reach $ 17.9 billion.
During this period, exports witnessed an increase of 7.7 %, with a total of 24.69 billion dollars compared to 22.926 billion dollars in the same year of the year of the 24th year.
Meanwhile, imports increased during the nine months by 6.3 %, reaching 42.58 billion dollars, an increase of 40.054 billion dollars during the 24th fiscal year.
