Two high -level American delegations will visit Pakistan this week, which represents an important step towards deepening bilateral relations in trade, security and economic cooperation, amid increasing concerns about continuous tariff issues.

The first delegation, led by Eric Mayer, the official of the first office (SBO) of the South and Central Asia Affairs Office at the US State Department, will visit Islamabad from April 8 to 10, 2025. Mayer’s visit will focus on the monetary mineral sector, especially in Pakistan, the films of investment minerals (PMF25), which will occupy its place in Jenana to the conference.

The forum is expected to be held from April 8 to 9, as a platform for international stakeholders, including American companies, to explore investment opportunities in the prosperous metal sector in Pakistan.

Mayer will meet with senior Pakistani officials to enhance economic cooperation and facilitate American investment in the mineral rich scene in the country, which extends more than 600,000 square kilometers.

The Pakistan Mining Sector, which supports more than 5,000 operating mine and 50,000 small and medium -sized companies, is still one of the main economic drivers in the country.

During his visit, Meyer will highlight our interest in supporting Pakistan’s efforts to diversify its supply chains of critical metals, which are necessary for clean energy technologies and modern industries.

In addition to discussions on economic cooperation, Mair is expected to enhance the importance of the United States’s cooperation in the efforts of combating terrorism. This aspect of the visit aims to reaffirm Washington’s commitment to regional security and stability.

The visit coincides with a difficult period for Pakistan, after President Donald Trump imposed a 29 % mutual tariff on the goods imported from Pakistan. In response, Pakistani Prime Minister Shaybaz Sharif formed special bodies to address this issue, and Finance Minister Mohamed Orangazib confirmed that the delegation will travel to Washington to pressure the Pakistan case.

After Mayer’s visit, a high -level second -level delegation from the US Congress will arrive in Pakistan from April 10 to 15, 2025. headed by members of Congress, General Jack Bergman and Tom Susie, the delegation will meet with Prime Minister Shaibaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and leadership of major political parties.

During their stay, the delegation will focus on strengthening bilateral relations in the main areas such as the economy, defense, trade and education.

Members will also visit Azad Jamo and Kashmir to assess the situation in Jamo and Kashmir (IIOJK) in the Indian (IIOJK) and security conditions along the LOC control line.

The Congress delegation will also visit the Kartarpur Corridor, where they will pay respect for the Baba Guru Nanak.

Both visits come at a time when Pakistan seeks to strengthen its relations with the United States, especially in trade and defense, and to address urgent issues such as customs tariffs and the advanced security situation in the region.
