It was announced during a meeting between the ambassador and the ruler of Sindh, Kamran Khan Toure, at the ruler’s house in Karachi.
“The visa issues have been resolved, the Pakistanis can obtain a five -year visa,” Al -Zaabi said, according to a press statement from the Governor. The ambassador also paid an invitation to the ruler Tossori to visit the visa center at the Emirati consulate in Karachi.
The new visa policy comes after increasing the scrutiny of Pakistani travelers due to concerns about crime and illegal activities, including begging, which led to more strict systems. Reports indicated that all Pakistani travelers need to be examined and verified by the police, while directing travel agents to ensure compliance.
In addition, there were indications that work visas were not restricted, although concerns about visiting visas arose due to begging cases.
Despite these concerns, the United Arab Emirates continues to invest in projects in Pakistan, especially in Karachi. Al -Hakim thanked the United Arab Emirates for continuing its investments in the province, and the ambassador’s researcher acknowledged the ruler’s initiatives aimed at strengthening economic relations.
This development follows previous reports that some of the negative activities of the Pakistani social media on platforms such as Tijk contributed to the UAE visa lists, although the government of the United Arab Emirates has made it clear that there is no official ban on Pakistani citizens looking for visas.
