Peshawar-Prime Minister Khyber Bakhtongua’s advisor for financing and coordination between provinces, MUZZAMIL ALAM, on Friday, raised concerns about the distribution of funds as part of the BENAZIR (BISP) income program, claiming that advanced provinces such as Punjab and Sindh receive a greater share of their comparison. And Baluchistan.

In a statement issued by his office, Aslam indicated that Punjab, the most populated governorate, represents 4.6 million beneficiaries of defenders and receives 161 billion rupees in support. The bond follows 2.6 million beneficiaries and 100 billion rupees in financing. On the other hand, Khaybar Bakhtongua, with 1.9 million beneficiaries, gets 72 billion rupees, while Balochistan, with only 0.5 million recipients, gets 18 billion rupees.

Aslam, the rates of high poverty rates in Khyber Bakhtonguwa, attributed the tribal areas that are managed by the previous federal (Fata), as it indicated that 75 percent of the population lives below the poverty line. He wondered whether the supreme allocations of the Punjab and the bond are the result of mismanagement in those provinces or contradictions in the poverty data in BISP.

To call for more shares in federal support, Aslam urged the federal government to provide an additional consideration of the Khayber Pakunkhwa and Balochistan, referring to the unique challenges they face, including security and continuous underdevelopment issues. He stressed the need for a more just and more data -based approach to social protection in order to ensure that the most weak population is not left in the country.
