Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. (PPL) has made a partnership with Metso Corporation of Finland to enhance exploration and mineral treatment activities throughout Pakistan.
The official nature of cooperation was added through the Memorandum Memorandum (MO) between the administrative director of PPL, the executive director Imran and Metso Corporation Lauri Pesonen during a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief of Staff Syed Asim Munir.
The agreement was initially signed at the 2025 Mineral Investment Forum, which was held in Islamabad. According to a press release issued on Saturday, the partnership aims to enhance the use of sustainable technologies and international experience to cancel the country’s metal capabilities.
The PPL president described cooperation with Metso as a major step towards taking advantage of the unexploited metal resources in Pakistan through global -level technology. The Memorandum of Understanding of Joint Initiatives in Capacity Building, Technology Transfer, and Feasy Studies plans, with the broader goal of attracting investment, generating employment, and upgrading the metal value chain throughout the country.
