World Bank reviews, agree to the restructuring plan for the National Health Support Program in Punjab

Lahore: The task of supporting the World Bank’s implementation of the National Health Support Program (NHSP) has concluded with a special session, stating the restructuring plan aimed at accelerating the reforms in primary health care throughout the province.

Headed by Dr. Jahanzib Hussein Labar, an additional secretary (header programs)/project manager NHSP, the session brought together NHSP leadership experts and the World Bank to evaluate the progress made in linked drainage indicators (DLIS 1-11), environmental and social side evaluation, review of financial and control, and the decline in the program restriction paper.

Dr. Jahanzeb has informed the task that the inputs to create the first-level custody units in 44 rural health centers (RHCS)-one in each region-have been officially notified and will work this year. The initiative aims to reduce nascent illustration by enhancing timely care in the disadvantaged areas. An integrated referral management system has also been developed to connect primary health care centers better with high -level institutions, while the mechanism of reactions is prepared for emergency medical records (EMR) to implement via Punjab.

In combating tuberculosis, Dr. Jahanzeb detailed the creation of RHCS integrated tuberculosis clinics, which will provide phlegm microscope, XPERT MTB/RIF test, chest rays, and clinical assessments. These clinics are expected to discover 56,000 terabytes annually, which enhances the efforts of tuberculosis in Punjab.

Additional updates highlighted the efforts made to expand fortification coverage, improve the health information system, implement the community health inspector model (Chi) to communicate in remote areas, and launch the LMS management system to unify health care training.

The task of supporting the implementation has led Manaf Bhaterrai, the leader of the task team and the largest health specialist at the World Bank, and included specialists from the World Bank and the global finance facility (GFF) through multiple specialties such as health systems, purchases, finance, environment and social development. Senior NHSP officials including DPD, Dr. Fawad Ahmed Avikhar, OBB Umaid Faisal, FMS khalil-ehman, and Karamat Ali communication specialist in the review.

The session unanimously ended between the World Bank team and the leadership of NHSP on restructuring the program to enhance performance, expand the provision of services and deepen the health effect at the primary care level throughout Punjab.
