The federal government announced on Wednesday a reduction of 2 rupees per liter in high -speed gasoline and diesel prices, after reviewing routine prices every two weeks. This step comes in response to modern fluctuations in the international oil markets and aims to provide modest comfort to consumers who are struggling with inflation.
An official notification issued by the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the price of gasoline has decreased from 254.63 rupees to 252.63 rupees per liter. Likewise, the high -speed diesel cost was reduced from 258.64 rupees to 256.64 rupees per liter.
The new rates will be effective from midnight and will remain in place in the next fifteen days.
According to the government, the amendment corresponds to global oil price movements and is part of the broader efforts to manage inflationary pressure on the public.
