The management of Godrej funds in India has signed a prominent agreement with the government of Maharashtra state, which is a new vitality injection into the ecosystem for the creation of booming content in India.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed with the Prime Minister of Maharashtra Defendra Fadenfis at the World Voice and Entertainment Conference (Waves) in Mumbai, defines plans for an advanced movie, television and media in the city of Godberg, Panfil. Mumbai, the capital of the Western Indian state of Maharashtra, is the home of the Bollywood film industry in Indian.
The project carries a total investment mark of 20 billion Indian rupees (about 236 million dollars) and it is expected to generate job opportunities for about 2,500 professionals across various specialties. The first stage alone will witness an investment of about $ 59 million on a piece of 10 sprawling acres.
This is the second major infrastructure agreement signed with the Maharashtra government during the waves, after the $ 400 million entertainment deal with Prime Focus Group.
The development is strategically placed in the city of Godrej City, a self -sustainable town that spreads at an altitude of about 145 acres, and features a 30 -acre golf area. The site provides major communication advantages, sitting a short drive away from the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport and Mumbai Bon Highway. Atal Setu (Mumbai Transpour Link) is recently operating on access to southern Mumbai.
In what could be a big boost for India as one of the largest content producers in the world, the campus will allocate AA studios, designed as a creative nucleus for artists, musicians and directors. This facility is expected to be in line with the incentive policy that the recent government of India has to produce foreign films, which may attract international projects to the Indian beaches.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Maharashtra government will simplify the necessary permissions, records, approvals and financial incentives from the relevant state departments to develop university campus.
Development is designed to take into account the restoration in the future, taking into account the main international experts to create facilities equipped with advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence integration. In addition to direct employment in content production, the project is expected to stimulate growth in the guesthouse sectors, technical services and tourism with an increase in foreign currency profits.
