The alibaba group strengthens its location in the rapidly retail market in China through a new partnership with the Rednote lifestyle platform, also known as Xiaohongshu.
Rednote user cooperation directly accesses products and shopping from TAobao platform from Alibaba through compact products links, which increases the application of shopping in the application to the application.
“By combining trade experience in Taobao and TMAL with the strength of Xiaohongshu in the lifestyle content, we help brands to reach consumers more effectively,” said Liu Bo, Vice President of the Alibaba Group and TMAL President.
The strategic partnership comes amid intense competition between e -commerce giants in China and the morale of defeated consumer. The battle for the market share has turned towards the immediate retail sector, which began to deliver food but now includes the electronics and clothes that are delivered within one hour.
Meituan is currently dominating the instant retail spaces in China, with Ele.me in Alibaba in second. JD.com has recently introduced the sector by expanding food delivery, JD Takeaway, to include restaurant services.
Alibaba has increased the immediate retail efforts through Taobao, as it provided one -hour delivery through the “immediate trade” portal supported by Logistics Ele.me. The company recently announced that it had received 10 million immediate retail requests within five days.
Alibaba and JD.com prepares large purchases to win consumers. JD.com has pledged more than 10 billion yuan ($ 1.38 billion) this year for immediate retail initiatives, while Alibaba focuses on highly consumer goods and health care in their experimental integration with Rednote.
Rednote-Taobao is expected to enhance the user’s participation and accelerate the growth of alibaba in the advanced scene of e-commerce in China.
