Amazon MGM Studios will join CinemaCon’s main theater studio presentation lineup for the first time when the theater owners’ convention returns to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from March 31-April 3. Additionally, event host the National Association of Theater Owners confirmed that Sony Pictures is returning to the main stage lineup at Caesars Amphitheater after pulling out last year.
With this news, NATO reports that all major Hollywood studios — including Lionsgate, Paramount, Universal/Focus Features, The Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Bros. – Will be available to preview their upcoming theatrical listings.
“We are thrilled and honored to welcome back all of our studio partners, with the addition of Amazon MGM Studios to this upcoming year’s CinemaCon lineup as a clear sign of support for the theatrical film business,” said Michael O’Leary, NATO President and CEO. In a statement issued.
“This powerful group of the world’s largest film studios speaks directly to the cultural and economic power of cinema,” the statement continues. “Our friends at the studios know that movie fans want to see the magic they create on the big screen, and they also know that films that begin their journey in the theater are more successful than those that don’t. We applaud their commitment to theatrical release and look forward to an amazing week for all the stories What they offer to movie lovers next year.
Sony last took the stage at the Colosseum in 2023, previewing upcoming films like “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” and Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon.” Sony’s scheduled theatrical releases for 2025 include “Karate Kid: Legends,” starring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, which is scheduled to open May 30; “28 Years Later,” directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, is scheduled to open on June 20.
Upcoming Amazon MGM films include the April 25 release of “The Accountant 2,” with key cast members led by Ben Affleck reprising their roles in this sequel; The thriller “Mercy,” scheduled for release on August 15, stars Chris Pratt, Rebecca Ferguson and Annabelle Wallis.

NATO recently announced that Cinemark President and CEO San Gamble will accept the CinemaCon Marquee Award at this year’s event.
