The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow” release date is May trendy blogger

The Weeknd’s suspense thriller “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” in which he stars alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, will debut in theaters on May 16.

Directed by Trey Edward Shults (“Waves”) and distributed by Lionsgate, the film is inspired by new music from The Weeknd. It is described as “the first theatrical experience of its kind.”

“Hurry Up Tomorrow” marks the final piece in The Weeknd’s artistic trilogy that includes 2020’s “After Hours” and 2022’s “Dawn FM.” The film also aligns with the Weeknd’s upcoming album and concert tour of the same name. The album “Hurry Up Tomorrow” will be released on January 24, and The Weekend will perform a one-night-only concert at the Rose Bowl the following day.

“Hurry Tomorrow” was produced by The Weeknd’s Manic Phase and Reda Fahim. Along with the late Kevin Turin and Harrison Chris. It is executive produced by Ortega, Schultes, Michael Rapinoe, Ryan Croft, Wassim “Sal” Salibi and Harrison Hoffman.

Chase Irvin serves as director of photography, Erin Benach and Hannah Jacobs are costume designers, and Elliott Hostetter leads production design.

With hits like “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears,” The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has sold more than 75 million records and won four Grammy Awards. He was Spotify’s top male artist in 2024. In 2023, he co-created the HBO series “The Idol” with “Euphoria” boss Sam Levinson. On the show, he played a manipulative music mogul who takes control of Lily-Rose Depp, playing a struggling pop star named Jocelyn.
