“It Ends With Us” actor Brandon Sklenar has supported his co-star Blake Lively after she accused fellow actor and director Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and a smear campaign.
“For the love of God, read this,” Sklenar wrote on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, while posting the sexual harassment complaint Lively filed against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios. Sklenar played Atlas Corrigan, the childhood sweetheart of Lively’s character in “It Ends With Us.” Sklenar tagged her with a heart emoji on Instagram.
Sklenar is the latest star to publicly support Lively, joining “It Ends With Us” creator Colleen Hoover, Lively’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants cast members, Amber Heard, director Paul Feig and more.
Sony Pictures, which distributed “It Ends With Us,” issued a statement supporting Lively.
“We have previously expressed our support for Blake in connection with her work on and for the film. We fully and steadfastly reiterate that support today,” a Sony Pictures Entertainment spokesperson said. diverse. “Furthermore, we strongly condemn any attack on its reputation. Any such attacks have no place in our business or in civil society.”
SAG-AFTRA also backed Lively’s claims, saying: “These are astonishing and troubling allegations. Employees have every right to raise issues of concern or file complaints. Retaliation for reporting misconduct or inappropriate behavior is illegal and wrong,” the organization said in a statement. “We applaud Blake Lively for her courage in speaking out about issues of retaliation and harassment and for her request to appoint an intimacy coordinator for all scenes containing nudity or sexual content. “This is an important step that helps ensure a safe collection.”
In the wake of Lively’s allegations, Justin Baldoni has been dropped by WME, which also represents Lively.
