Produced by Indian production house Maddock Films, ‘Param Sundari’, a multicultural romance film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
The film, directed by Tusshar Jalota (“Dasvi”), revolves around a love story between a North Indian protagonist (Malhotra) and a South Indian character (Kapoor), shot in Kerala. The film promises a heartfelt love story, where two worlds collide, and sparks are bound to fly. Set in the picturesque backwaters of Kerala, this love story is a rollercoaster of laughter, mayhem and unexpected twists that you won’t expect.
“It’s like those films that Mani Sir (Mani Ratnam) used to do like ‘Saathiya’ (the Hindi remake of the Tamil romantic drama Alai Payuthey),” said Maddock president Dinesh Vijan. diverse. “The kind of music it has and Jhanvi playing a South Indian boy is interesting, while Sid plays a North Delhi boy and the conflict is very cool. It feels like we are taking ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ forward – there is an idea of High tech but we’re kind of moving into the ‘gantry’ world, we’re going to go a little further than that.”
In Maddock’s sci-fi romantic comedy ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Kriti Sanon plays the role of SIFRA (Super Intelligent Female Robotic Automation), with whom robotics engineer Aryan (Shahid Kapoor) falls in love. SIFRA eventually develops conscious feelings.
‘Kantara’ (2022) by Rishabh Shetty is a popular drama set in rural Karnataka, where a rebellious villager, Shiva, becomes embroiled in a struggle between the sacred traditions of his community and modern greed.
Maddock Films delivered a series of successful films in 2024, including the horror-comedy “Munjya”, the sequel “Stree 2”, the thriller “Sector 36” and the thriller “Murder Mubarak”.
