KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Shri Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, chaired the performance review meeting attended by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Omar Zafar Sheikh to assess the progress made in key maritime organizations and the Board Member/Secretaries of the organization concerned attended the meeting for their valuable inputs. These included Port Qasim Authority (PQA), Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), a press release said.
The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of monthly performance metrics, addressed challenges and identified areas ripe for improvement. Strategic discussions focused on amplifying efficiency, productivity and comprehensive service delivery within the maritime sector.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to put the proposed recommendations and strategies into practice with the aim of driving growth and progress in the maritime sector.
After the performance review meeting, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh, chaired the Khuli Kochri session, providing an open platform for employees of maritime organizations and industry stakeholders to express their concerns, suggestions and ideas. This interactive forum allowed direct communication with the Minister, fostering a collaborative environment to address grievances and strengthen the maritime sector.
The Minister gave stakeholders a reassuring commitment that their concerns would be duly acknowledged and their issues addressed promptly, ensuring timely resolution of their matters.
The Kholi Kochri Forum, an open forum, was attended by representatives of various organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
