Although this would be the director’s first official gathering, fans flocked to Bob’s Big Boy restaurant after news broke of Lynch’s death. The classic diner in Los Angeles’ Toluca Lake neighborhood became an integral part of Lynch’s tradition after the Twin Peaks director revealed that he ate there “for seven years every day at 2:30” and took notes on napkins.
Lynch revealed in 2024 that he had been diagnosed with emphysema after smoking all his life and that he would never be able to steer or leave his house again. His family announced his death on Thursday in a Facebook post in which he wrote: “There is a big hole in the world now that he is no longer with us. But, as he says, ‘Keep your eye on the cake and not the hole.’” It is a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies. All the way.
