Disney’s “A Complete Unknown” has risen to the top of the box office in the UK and Ireland, debuting with £2.6 million ($3.2 million), according to Comscore figures. The Bob Dylan biographical drama, starring Timothée Chalamet, has given Disney another strong start in the new year.

In its fifth week, Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” maintained second place with revenues of $1.9 million, bringing its total revenues to $32.2 million. The prequel continues to attract family audiences, cementing its status as one of the season’s strongest performers.

Paramount’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” maintained third place, collecting $1.3 million during its fourth weekend. The film has now collected $27.3 million. Universal’s “Nosferatu” remained in fourth place, earning $1.3 million in its third week. With a cumulative total of $13.3 million, the gothic horror reboot continues to hold its own with genre fans.

Studiocanal’s “We Live In Time” continued its steady run, earning $1 million in its third weekend, placing in the top five. The romantic drama now grosses $8.3 million.

Entertainment Film Distributors’ “Babygirl” took sixth place, adding $912,100 in its second week. The provocative thriller has now grossed $3.1 million. Universal’s physical horror film “Wolf Man” came in seventh place, earning $803,830.

Disney’s “Moana 2” retained eighth place, earning $724,035 in its eighth week, bringing its total cumulative revenue to $49.4 million. Universal’s “Wicked” came in ninth place, adding $667,525 in its ninth week. With a total of $73.2 million, the musical adaptation continues to dominate the long-running charts.

In 10th place, Disney’s “A Real Pain” grossed $535,780 in its second weekend, bringing its total to $2.2 million.

Among the upcoming releases, on Wednesday, January 22, Shear Entertainment is set to release the Nick Cassavetes romance “Marked Men: Rule & Shaw.” Thursday 23 January saw two Malayalam language releases from India. Dreamz Entertainment’s ‘Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse’ stars Malayalam film star Mammootty and offers a lighter tone with a mix of comedy and drama, while Yash Raj Films presents the family drama ‘Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal’.

The packed lineup begins Friday, January 24, with Lionsgate UK’s “Flight Risk,” a thriller headlined by Mark Wahlberg and directed by Mel Gibson. From Universal Pictures comes “The Brutalist,” an awards season front-runner, and from Steven Soderbergh’s Picturehouse Entertainment supernatural horror film “Presence.”

This week’s Bollywood release is the Indian Air Force action drama ‘Sky Force’ produced by Moviegoers Entertainment, headlined by Akshay Kumar.

Music fans can look forward to “Baekhyun: Lonsdaleite (dot) In Cinemas” distributed by CinemaLive, which celebrates the global K-pop phenomenon through an immersive cinematic experience. Meanwhile, Miracle and Sea High Productions present the psychological thriller “The People Before.”
